Team Beta unleashes the queen and then it's all chaos, but at least he hadn't been right on the front line when that had happened. All he can do now, however, is fight back, taking out as many jellyfish and korokiel as he can, avoiding tentacles and, as it turns out, other moonblessed. That's what takes him deeper into the base, even though such a thing might be inadvisable.
