yakiniku: (死に来い)

[The space between them is something he immediately regrets, but he he doesn't let himself fall back into the monks arms again so quickly. He needs to sort this out, but his mind is muddled, and maybe he doesn't quite understand how this is happening.

Zenyatta proceeds to list the things about Hanzo he finds admirable in a lover, and although they've discussed at length the ways they adore each other, he'd never once used the word love. Not that he can remember. Hanzo isn't sure what the problem is, or why he's resisting the declaration, but it unsettles him deeply. It dawns on him gradually that he doesn't feel worthy. He feels unworthy of love in general, but particularly unworthy of Zenyatta's love.]

You know that I care for you, Zenyatta. You must know that.

[But love? It's possible. Hanzo thinks of the times he's complained to his brother about being worried for the monk and his tendency to wander and explore. He's never been hesitant to be intimate with him even in non-sexual ways. The warmth Zenyatta brings to him is difficult to ignore, but it doesn't change the fact that he doesn't deserve it. So regardless of whether or not those feelings are reciprocated exactly he won't let himself accept this.]

You deserve someone better than me. I am a bad person. I have done terrible things.. irredeemable things, Zenyatta.
