Ah, no- [For a moment Zenyatta is so startled by the possibility, obvious though it was that it would be suggested to him, of actually seeing Hanzo- here, in the flesh, in this very context- that he does not fully register the voice that makes the offer in the first place.
But only a moment.]
Gabriel! [All of that uncomfortable, uncharacteristic hesitation is washed away in the space of a small, disbelieving laugh. There is no mistaking him now, sleek and handsome and more groomed than he thinks he has ever seen the man.] My, Hanzo has certainly left his mark on you! It suits you immensely.
[translation: he looks distractingly hot.]
I would rather not run into him here, if it is all the same to you. [He raises a hand to his faceplate thoughtfully, one finger tapping daintily to the lip.] I would like to draw my own conclusions about Flux.
[He did lean against the bar, letting his arms fold over the top of it and frankly looked rather relaxed there. Fact things were a little raised meant he was still pretty much 'eye level' with the omnic with it all there.] Yeah, figured it was best I look the part, and give something nice to look at. I'm only here to serve drinks.
[So not really doing more than looking nice and providing booze and the like. Corner of his mouth had twitched in to a bit of a brief and faint grin.
Hummed a little all the same.] Can still have a seat then, see what you can draw from here along your way.
[Zenyatta can't help but laugh at that, the thought of hiring a seasoned, world-famous mercenary for the simple purpose of window-dressing. As he leans over the bar he chooses to believe it is solely so that he can hear Gabriel over the music, and not because of the strange, giddy atmosphere of the place has him far more interested in Gabriel and his immaculate tailoring- or, more to the point, the things it does for the body beneath it.]
Then Hanzo is most certainly getting a great deal of value from your wages.
[is that flirting. he probably shouldn't flirt.]
I must admit, you were among the last people I would have expected to see here without some underlying purpose. What do you make of this place, Gabriel?
[Translation: should I worry about Hanzo's decision to manage it, and does it represent a darker streak in his character that he has yet to purge?]
[There was an amused sound just caught in his throat as Gabriel kept himself comfortable there as he stood, leaned against the bar.]
Guess a little eye-candy never hurts, more so when it knows how to serve up a few drinks. Not bad as a side hustle for me either.
[Not just to help cushion his own funds, but a way to sort of people watch their fellow Moonblessed in such a manner as this. No real judgement, but people would still come and go even if it was just out of some curiosity.
Gabriel did look thoughtful for a moment, because he could certainly hear the unasked question in that wording.]
Well, it's definitely performing a service to help out those who need it. Taking a lot of effort to make sure those who take up working here are protected, too. So far, other than see him stress out under the pressure of running it all, this place fulfills a need that's on the level given the culture while trying to keep people comfortable about it.
