[Even before that tell-tale glow Zenyatta suspects something- the way his partner moves, that sleek, catlike grace, that subtle confidence... by the time Genji laughs he is only confirming his suspicions.]
Genji!
[He is soft and, unaccountably, breathless, but even as Genji sets him on the very tips of his toes he does not hesitate to fall back towards him for a single moment; his arms will be waiting.]
Why did you never tell me you could dance?
[He steps backwards, extending their arms. If Genji is focusing their steps will remain in perfect synchronisation.]
[ genji is enthusiastic in his teasing, but also focused on matching his master's movements. he keeps in step with zenyatta, not too hard with skills like his. ]
But you did not tell me you could dance either!
[ he's seen little dances from time to time, but nothing like this. ]
[This is one of the things he loves most of all about Genji, this glowing, infectious warmth; if his feet touch the ground at all he cannot feel it anymore.]
I had not given it much thought, until I arrived here. Although I suppose you had practise enough, in that sordid past of yours! [He is teasing, of course! But he is also getting carried away; without thinking, he adds:] It is how I met your brother.
[ the sordid past is an ongoing joke - it's how genji has referred to it before as well, and he thinks nothing of it. the talk of hanzo does have him off beat for a moment - but then he's easily lifting zenyatta, and spinning him again. ]
Hanzo dances something other than the Fisherman's dance? Truly, miracles do happen here.
[ while he's clearly surprised, he's also not allowing himself to feel anything else about it for the moment. ]
[Zenyatta's weight is negligible for an augmented human, but with the tension in Genji's arms promising a lift before the ninja has even secured his arms around him his anti-grav automatically does the work for him; he may not need the help but it takes whatever whisper of strain might have weighed them down and renders the movement fluid, graceful. His toes point beneath the hem of his skirt as it swirls about his ankles.
The moment he touches down once more, still on his tips, he laughs delightedly.]
He does! And you must show me this "fisherman's dance"- it sounds fascinating!
[Some of the partnerships around them are splitting, interweaving. Already another flower is heading towards them, eyes on Genji, hands outstretched- but Zenyatta turns him at the last moment, doggedly determined to hang on.]
[ genji laughs when zenyatta does, truly enjoying seeing him here. even those that are not used to the omnic monk do not have the prejudices of their world in them - the curiosity has seemed (for the most part) honest, and not cruel.
before he can speak about the dance, they're being turned, and the flower pouts a bit but finds another dragon to attach themselves to. genji is more than happy to continue dancing with zenyatta, dipping him down. ]
Hanzo likes to show off as much as I do. He just is more subtle about it - and certainly if you asked him about the Fisherman's dance, he'd be more than happy to show off.
